OF
BASIC LIFE SUPPORT

The Basic Life Support Certification course for Healthcare Providers offers a comprehensive  foundation for emergency medical procedures for cardiac, respiratory, and relief of choking emergencies. 

This BLS course aims to offer knowledge and practical techniques that helps healthcare providers provide Basic life support to individuals undergoing life-threatening medical conditions on the scene, instead of waiting for rapid response team to arrive and provide advanced care or immediately load the patient and transport patient to the hospital. Professionals will learn basics techniques and progress to advanced vital skills in order to respond effectively to real life emergencies, as single rescuers and as part of multiple rescuer emergency team.

BLS Course Content

The BLS Provider Course offered by The Heart Emergency Training Institute – American Heart Association includes the following course content:

  • Introduction to Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Adult Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED use
  • Child and Infant CPR and AED use
  • Choking Relief techniques for adults, children, and infants
  • Use of ventilation devices, bag-mask techniques, and advanced airway devices
  • Team dynamics and communication during resuscitation
  • High-quality CPR skills, including chest compressions, ventilation, and depth and rate of compressions.
  • Recognition and management of cardiac arrest and other respiratory emergencies
  • BLS algorithms and their application in different emergency scenarios
  • Use of feedback devices and technologies to enhance CPR performance. 

Completing the BLS Provider Course allows professionals to earn their American Heart Association BLS Provider certification on the same day, once course is completed, which remains valid for two years.
